New Personal Best

On Saturday I ran a 1500 meter race in 4:07 which is 2 seconds faster than my previous best. I placed 5th behind 3 of my teammates and 1 college runner. This Friday, May 2nd, I will run the 800 meter race at the BSU Twilight meet. The race is at Bronco Stadium at 8 pm. Feel free to come watch.

My first big college meet

Now that I am 30 years old and 5 years out of school, I am finally in good enough shape to run with these guys (video link). This is the Willamette Invitational meet in Salem, OR on 4/4/08.
That's me in white out in lane 7 at the start.
The plan was to just stay behind the leaders for the first lap and then see what I can do on the second. I ended up running a 1:58 which is not bad on a rainy and windy day. I finished 6th in my heat and 7th overall (about 40 runners total).

Stay tuned because on April 26th, I am racing at NNU in Nampa and it should be a very good race.

Babies Update - 11 weeks!

Hi everyone! Sorry it's been so long since I've posted anything. First of all, I can't thank you all enough for your love and support. Rhet and I are so excited and are thrilled that everyone else is too! Good thing we're having two babies, otherwise people might start to fight over them. I had my second ultrasound today, thankfully there are still just two babies in there, despite Rhet's wish that we have two sets of identical twins! They are looking great and right where they should be. I'm feeling well, as long as I eat every two hours. I do get a little nauseous, but thankfully not too bad. My biggest symptom is fatigue! I come home from work and just lay around watching Rhet do all the chores. My official due date is Nov 1, but with twins it will probably be more like the beginning of October. I'll keep working as long as I feel good, then when the babies come I'll be a stay at home mommy! It will be interesting to see what the rest of the city does from 8-5 everyday. In regards to medical school, I'm requesting a deferral for one year. We'll see at that time if I want to go or not. I'm kind of thinking I'm going to like this whole motherhood thing and stick with that full-time, but med school is too big of an opportunity for me to turn down right now. So, we'll see what happens, I'm just glad I got in!
Well, that about sums it up for the Hulberts (all four of us), hope all is well with you!
